Every day, whether we realize it or not, we are sending a message to those around us. People notice how we treat others in public, how our homes feel when guests enter, and even how we behave behind the wheel. As Christians, it’s not just about what we believe – it’s about what we display to the world.
Are we exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) in our words, actions, and spaces? Does our home reflect the peace, joy, and love of Christ? Does the way we live invite others to acknowledge and see the Savior in action?
Even more, our children are watching us constantly. They learn more from our behavior than our words. When we live intentionally and display the fruits of the Spirit, we are teaching them how to reflect Christ in their own lives.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23 ESV
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16 ESV
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” – Colossians 3:17 ESV
“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children…when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” – Deuteronomy 6:6-7 ESV

Our faith isn’t meant to be private. It shows in how we move through the world, in the spaces we create, and in the hearts we touch. Our interactions, home, and online presence all send a message. By modeling Christ-like behavior and teaching our children to do the same, we create homes and families that reflect God’s love, joy, and peace. Let’s strive to make our lives a witness to the world – a light that points others to the Savior.
